Jimmy Butler introduced at Mall of America

Last week the Minnesota Timberwolves made a draft day trade that brought all-star forward Jimmy Butler to Minnesota in exchange for Zach Lavine, Kris Dunn and the No.7 pick in the NBA draft. Today the wolves introduced their new star along-side coach and president of operations Tom Thibodeau and general Manager Scott Layden. The press conference was held in front of hundreds of fans and media members at the Mall of America rotunda. If you missed the press conference you can watch it here.

NDSU Football Add Three Home Games to Future Schedules

North Dakota State University announced on Tuesday, May 30, the addition of three home football games for the 2018, 2019 and 2020 seasons.

Vikings add competition at WR

It has been quite a hectic six months for former Cretin Derham Hall standout Michael Floyd. Last December he was arrested in Arizona after he fell asleep at the wheel of his vehicle at a red light. Floyd had a blood alcohol level of .217, nearly three times the legal limit. The 27-year-old then was released by the Cardinals and subsequently claimed by the New England Patriots. He finished the season as a Patriot and won a Super Bowl ring, even though he did not play in the game.

Vikings Select 11 Players in NFL Draft

The Minnesota Vikings finished the 2017 NFL Draft with 11 new players through the seven rounds.

GM Rick Spielman made 7 draft trades including drafting up for the teams first two picks to grab Florida State running back Dalvin Cook and Ohio Stat offensive lineman Pat Elflein.

Vikings 2017 Regular Season Schedule Released

The NFL announced their regular season schedule and it includes three primetime apperances for the Minesota Vikings. The Vikings will open up the season at home on Monday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints (which happens to be the last team Adrian Peterson visited). In the middle of the year there are three straight NFC North games starting with Detroit in week four.

Twins Drop Series Opener to Tigers

The Minnesota Twins hadn't started 6-1 since 1968. That record will be safe for atleast one more year as the Twins dropped a 2-1 decision to the Detroit Tigers in the first game of a three-game series. Minnesota managed just five hits in the game and three of them came in the ninth inning. Hector Santiago pitched well enough to win going 6 1/3 innings giving up just three hits and one walk. Santiago did make one mistake, as James McCann cleared the fence in left for a two-run homerun in the fifth inning.

Ben Woodside Retirement Press Conference

Last week North Dakota State University men's basketball great Ben Woodside announced he would be retiring from the game of basketball at the age of 31. Today Woodside gave the local Fargo media an insight into his decision and a look back at his 13-year career, as he held a press conference at the Scheels Center.
