NDSU Football Schedules Another FBS Matchup

The North Dakota State University football program has made a habit of beating teams from the top conferences in college football. The Bison have had so much success that less teams have been willing to schedule the five-time FCS champions.

NDSU did get one team to bite however, you will have to wait six years to see it happen. The University of Arizona and NDSU have signed a one-game contract to play in the year 2022.

The game will be played on September 17th and held at University of Arizona Stadium in Tucson. It will the first meeting between the two teams and the second game NDSU will play against a team from the Pac-12 Conference (Oregon in 2020 is the first).

Arizona has been to seven bowl games in the last nine years. This will be the first team from the Missouri Valley Football Conference that the Wildcats will play in their school history.

NDSU has a 9-3 record against teams at the FBS level. The Bison have won six straight against FBS opponents including a dramatic 23-21 victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes last year in Iowa City.
