Tale of Two Halves for Bison Against Panthers

It was a tale of two halves for the North Dakota State (NDSU) Bison on Saturday inside the Fargodome against Northern Iowa (UNI) as they stayed undefeated on the season with a 30 to 14 win.

The offense struggled to get going with junior quarterback Easton Stick throwing two interceptions and only completing four passes. Stick didn’t look sharp in the first half and the running game only had 28 yards on 16 carries. “Both those turnover in the first half were on me obviously” said Stick on his first half performance

Klieman did announce that running back Lance Dunn is doubtful this week with a hip injury suffered during last weeks 24-12 win over Western Illinois. Also Running back Ty Brooks is expected to make his return from injury this week for the Bison. NDSU plays at home against University of Northern Iowa this week at 2:30 p.m. inside the Fargodome.

NDSU Names Lopez as 12th Head Coach of Bison Volleyball

NDSU Athletic Director Matt Larsen announced a change in to the coaching on the school’s volleyball team. Monday October 23rd Larsen announced that Interim Head Coach Jennifer Lopez will become the permanent head coach of the program after leading them as the interim throughout this season.

Bison Quiet Explosive Leatherneck Offense to Stay Undefeated

The North Dakota State (NDSU) Bison came into the Fargodome Saturday for a top-ten matchup with the Western Illinois (WIU) Leathernecks. NDSU held down a strong Leatherneck offense and overcame a halftime deficit to win 24-12 and stay undefeated.

Teddy Bridgewater Cleared to Practice Again for Vikings

Earlier today Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was cleared by Dr. Dan Cooper to resume practice with the team, roughly 14 months after his major knee injury. 
Head coach Mike Zimmer said that Bridgewater will practice but he will stay on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list until he is ready to play.

NDHSAA Class A State Football bracket Released

The bracket for the NDHSAA Class A state football tournament was released on Saturday, October 16th. The number one-overall seed is the Hillsboro-Central Valley Burros of region one. The Burros finished the season 8-0 including a 48-14 win against the defending state champions Ellendale-Edgeley-Kulm. the two-seed is the Aggies of Velva who won region three with a 7-0 record in the region and 8-0 overall. The three-seed is Langdon Area-Edmore-Munich who won region two with an 8-0 overall record.

ND State Cross Country Meet, Valley City, October 28th

        The 2017 North Dakota High School Activities Association State Cross Country Meet will be held
October 28 at Valley City’s Bjornson Public Golf Course located at 3473 Woodland Park Valley City,
ND 58072.

Simunic Fired as Manager of Redhawks, Schlact to Take Over

On Sunday the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks announced that they have relieved manager Doug Simunic of his duties as the Manager of the team after 22 years in the dugout for the Redhawks.

The Redhawks will start a search for a new manger at the conclusion of this current season. The man taking over the managerial duties on the interim basis is pitching coach Michael Schlact. Schlact has been with the organization for the past three seasons as the pitching coach and now will be taking on both duties.

Vikings Camp Day 3: Edwards Calling Plays, Reiff Absent From Practice and What did Alex Boone Say About the Packers...

Day three was my best day personally I had some spray-on sunscreen, SPF 50 so don’t worry mom, plus shorts and a short sleeve shirt so the 80-degree weather and sun did less damage than before. You could say I have learned from my mistakes like a good veteran player would do.
