The British singer's "21" was the highest-selling album in the U.S. for the second consecutive year, according to 2012 sales figures released by Nielsen SoundScan on Thursday. That's a first in the SoundScan era.

Toby Keith announced Wednesday that Hagar and country music legends Mel Tillis and John Anderson would be joining his Oklahoma Twister Relief Concert on July 6 at the University of Oklahoma’s Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman. Other performers include Garth Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, Willie Nelson and Ronnie Dunn. Organizers say the $25 tickets will go on sale Friday. Ticket proceeds will benefit the United Way of Central Oklahoma’s tornado relief efforts. Keith is a native of Moore, where 24 people were killed in a top-of-the-scale EF5 tornado on May 20.

Deen says she used slur but doesn’t tolerate hateComments OffSAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Celebrity cook Paula Deen says she has used racial slurs in the past but insists she and her brother, who are accused of racial and sexual discrimination in a lawsuit by a former manager of their restaurant, don’t tolerate hateful behavior. In a court deposition filed Monday in federal court, an attorney for former restaurant manager Lisa Jackson presses the 66-year-old Deen about her racial views and those of her brother, Bubba Hiers. Deen is asked if she’s ever used “the N-word.” She responds: “Yes, of course.” Deen says she likely used the slur in the 1980s after a black man held her at gunpoint at the Georgia bank where she worked. Deen insists she and her brother object to slurs being used in “any cruel or mean behavior.”

Faith Prince to play evil Miss Hannigan in ‘Annie’Comments OffNEW YORK (AP) — Faith Prince will soon be getting in touch with her mean side — she’s about to play Miss Hannigan in the “Annie” revival on Broadway. Prince, who will begin performances on July 19, won a Tony Award in 1992 for “Guys and Dolls” and was nominated three other times for “A Catered Affair,” ”Bells Are Ringing” and “Jerome Robbins‘ Broadway.” Emmy Award-winning “Glee” star Jane Lynch will play her final performance as Miss Hannigan on July 14. She had taken over from Tony-winning Katie Finneran as the evil orphanage matron. Prince will star opposite Lilla Crawford in the title role and Anthony Warlow as Daddy Warbucks.
