Fargo man dies from injuries in bicycle, vehicle crash

(FARGO) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the person who sustained serious, life-threatening injuries in a bicycle versus vehicle crash earlier this week has died.

Jay Holding Eagle, a 66-year-old Fargo man, entered the crosswalk at 40th Avenue South and 25th Street South westbound, when he was struck by a 2023 Ford F-150, driven by 49-year-old Fargo resident, Bing Zhang. Holding Eagle was thrown from the bike and transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

Sergeant Adam Malafa says Holding Eagle died September 11.

No charges have yet to be filed in the crash.
