North Dakota sales tax revenue spikes sharply

(Fargo, ND) — Sales tax revenue is way up in North Dakota compared to a year ago.  

Purchases and taxable sales during the first quarter of this year increased by over 21-percent compared to the first quarter last year.  

Significant growth was seen in oil extraction and mining with revenues climbing by nearly 59-percent from last year to this year.
