FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State men’s basketball head coach David Richman announced Monday that Camron Greer has been promoted from the program’s director of basketball operations to an assistant coach role.
Greer served as a graduate manager for the Bison during the 2022-23 season, coordinating the team’s travel, meals, and day-to-day logistics, as well as directing the program’s student managers and organizing community involvement opportunities.
Greer’s elevation to assistant coach comes following new NCAA legislation that increased the number of assistant coaching positions allowed for Division I basketball. With the new rule going into effect on July 1, Greer can now assist with on-court coaching and skill instruction.
Greer played at the University of Dayton from 2017-21, seeing action in 24 games during his career. He was a member of the 2019-20 Atlantic 10 championship team that went 29-2 and earned a No. 3 national ranking. Following graduation with a degree in chemical engineering, he worked as an engineer at Christopher B. Burke Engineering in Rosemont, Ill.
