Updated: Bull attack kills one in Otter Tail County

(Update: 11:40 a.m.) — Authorities have released the identity of the man killed in a bull attack on Saturday. 

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says the incident occurred west of Parker’s Prairie in Effington Township. The victim is also identified as 64-year-old Jerry Altman. 

No other injuries are reported. The incident is under investigation by the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

(PARKERS PRAIRIE) — One person is dead following a bull attack in rural Parkers Prairie, Minn.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says the attack happened just after 6 p.m. Saturday at a farm property in rural Parkers Prairie. Otter Tail County dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call at 6:14 p.m. reporting an adult was being attacked by a bull.

Law enforcement arrived on scene and euthanized the bull in order to render aid to the victim, who was later pronounced dead.

The Sheriff’s Office will release additional details at a later time, according to a release.
