Entz leaving Bison at season end, heading to USC

(Fargo, ND) – Matt Entz is leaving the Bison.

Reports began surfacing early Sunday afternoon that the 51-year-old head coach of the Bison had accepted a coaching position with another team.

The announcement, coming on the heels of a FCS semifinal match-up next Saturday against Montana, was made official just after 3 p.m. Sunday.

“Matt Entz, a two-time FCS national championship winning head coach, has been named USC’s assistant head coach for defense/linebackers coach, head coach Lincoln Riley announced today (Dec. 10),” a press release released by the University of Southern California athletic department read.

When reached by Flag Family Media, NDSU Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications Ryan Perreault said Entz will remain with the Bison through the end of the playoffs.
