Fargo Police Department planning Washington D.C. trip to honor fallen officer Jake Wallin

(Fargo, ND) — The Fargo Police Department is planning a group trip to Washington D.C. to honor an officer who died in the line of duty.

The City Commission approved up to two-hundred-fifty-thousand dollars in funding this week for Officer Jake Wallin’s family and members of the police department to attend the annual National Police Week.

We’re told the money will help pay for the trip this May in case donations fall short.

Wallin was killed during an ambush this past July that injured three other people.

Wallin will be recognized alongside other law enforcement officers nationwide who were killed on the job last year.
