Minnesota house passes first of legislative session, aims to fix 2023 tax mistake

(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota House passed the first bill of the 2024 session.

The measure is a correction to a 2023 tax law. Department of Revenue commissioner Paul Marquart says the current law would cost $350 million dollars if changes, which the new bill aims to fix. The bill passed with near unanimous support.

The bill now heads to the State Senate.
