Severe Thunderstorm Threat Friday Evening

A slight risk for severe weather has been issued for most of North Dakota into Northwestern Minnesota for today and tonight. A cold front is expected to develop thunderstorms along it as it tracks across the state today into tonight, The main threat of these storms will be damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph in the strongest storms as well as the possibility of 1-inch hail. Through this afternoon storms will begin to develop in areas of west and west central North Dakota and move eastward into the valley through this evening and into tonight.
