ST PAUL, MN — A leading Minnesota DFL Lawmaker is calling for the resignation of Senator Nicole Mitchel, who is accused of burglarizing a home in Detroit Lakes, after the end of the legislative session.
DFL Chairman Ken Martin made the statement in a release this morning, saying now that her constituents have officially been represented though the session, she should resign.
GOP Representative Jon Koznick called the move hypocritical, saying Democrats are complicit in abuse of power for not forcing an ethics investigation in the final weeks of the session.
