(Dallas, TX) — The Celtics held off a late Mavericks rally to take Game Three and move one win away from an NBA title.
Boston defeated Dallas 106-99 in NBA Finals action at the American Airlines Center. The Mavs led by as many as 13 early before the Celtics fought back and eventually jumped out to a 21-point lead of their own. Jayson Tatum finished with 31 points, six rebounds and five assists as the Celtics took a 3-0 series lead. Jaylen Brown chipped in 30 points, eight boards and eight assists.
The Celtics have won 10 straight games dating back to the Eastern Conference semifinals. Kyrie Irving paced the Mavs with 35 points in the losing effort.
The Mavs will host the Celtics in Game Four on Friday.
