(Edmonton, AB) — The Panthers are on the verge of claiming their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
The team downed the Oilers 4-3 in Edmonton to take a 3-0 series lead in the Final. Vladamir Tarasenko, Sam Bennett and Sasha Barkov netted goals within six-plus minutes of each other in the second period. Florida now has four chances to decommission the Oil. Only four teams have ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in NHL postseason history, and it’s only happened once in the Cup Final.
The Oilers will fight for their Cup lives at Rogers Center Saturday night.
