Oilers win Game 5 of Stanley Cup Final

(Sunrise, FL) — The Stanley Cup Final is heading back to Alberta.

The Oilers fended-off the Panthers 5-3 in Game Five from Sunrise. Connor Brown, Zach Hyman and Connor McDavid scored the first three goals of the game. Matthew Tkachuk brought one back for Florida, but McDavid scored an empty-netter to ice the game.

Florida stills lead the best-of-seven series 3-2, but hasn’t gained control after taking the first three games. Only three teams have forced a Game Six in Cup Final history after trailing 3-0.

The puck drops from Edmonton Friday night.
