Supporters of recreational marijuana submit signatures to Secretary of State’s office

BISMARCK, ND — Backers of an initiative that would legalize recreational marijuana in North Dakota have submitted petitions to the state in hopes of getting it on the November ballot.

15,582 signatures are needed to make it to the ballot, and the effort gathered well over 22,000 signatures.

The state has until August 12th to verify all the signatures.
