Trump makes appearance at RNC in front of energized arena

(Milwaukee, MI) — Donald Trump made his first public appearance Monday night since being injured in an assassination attempt on Saturday.

Trump entered the Republican National Convention to a live performance of Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” and widespread applause from the crowd. The crowd also chanted “fight, fight, fight” as Trump appeared in the arena and took a seat in the VIP box alongside his running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance, his sons Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump, and House Speaker Mike Johnson. He was sporting a bandage on his ear where he was hit with a bullet.

Trump today officially secured the GOP nomination for president.
