(Fargo, ND) — The death of a dog just hours after a grooming appointment is being investigated by the groomer and the dog’s owner.
Officials with Prairie Dog Daycare in Fargo say they will pay for a necropsy to find out exactly how the dog died.
The doggy daycare says the dog arrived for its first-ever grooming at Prairie Dog Wednesday afternoon and was described as happy, alert and bright.
Her owners picked her up at 6 p.m. and there were no problems.
But by 6:45 they were rushing the pup to an emergency animal hospital.
She died a half-hour later.
