North Dakota turns 135 years old this Saturday

BISMARCK, ND — North Dakota is turning 135 this Saturday.

August 17th marks the day State Constitution being signed, and the document now sits in the state archives, preserved in a temperature-controlled space. North Dakota’s constitution was stored in the State Capitol building in Bismarck when it caught on fire in 1930, but it was saved by the Secretary of State at the time, ironically named Robert Burn.
