North Dakota, eight other states file lawsuit aimed at blocking voter registration executive order

(Washington, D.C.) — North Dakota is among nine states that have filed a class action lawsuit against the Biden Administration.

The lawsuit seeks to block the Administration’s new voter registration executive order from taking affect. It argues that the order violates the United States Constitution.

The suit calls on federal agencies to promote voter registration and participation in ways that are consistent with law.

Along with North Dakota, states that have joined the suit are Iowa, Kansas, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina and South Dakota.

We have reached out to North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley’s office for comment. Check back for updates on this developing news story.
