ST. PAUL, MN — Minnesotans will only have one state constitutional amendment to vote on during the November election.
Voters are being asked to decide whether lottery proceeds will keep being used to fund environmental projects in the state. 40% of the state lottery’s net proceeds currently go to a trust fund that is used on projects that protect and promote conservation and outdoor activity. A “no” vote in November would end the split between money going to the general fund and money going to environmental causes.
Early voting in Minnesota begins September 20th.
