A three run fourth inning led the Minnesota Twins past the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 6-4 in their series rubber match.
Zebby Matthews gave up two runs over 3 ⅓ innings in a no decision. Five other pitchers recorded outs, capped off by a Jhoan Duran ninth inning save, his 23rd of the season.
Royce Lewis and Brooks Lee drove in two runs apiece. Matt Wallner hit a solo home run while Willi Castro also picked up one RBI.
The Twins are now off on Thursday before welcoming the Cincinnati Reds to Target Field for a weekend series beginning on Friday night. Minnesota still has a three game lead over Detroit for the third and final Wild Card spot in the American League.
