(MOORHEAD) – A Rochester, Minn., man charged in a 2021 fatal shooting in Moorhead was sentenced Friday morning.
Idris Abdillahi Haji-Mohammed, a 29-year-old man, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the September 2021 shooting death of Abdi Mohamed Abdi.
According to court documents, officers responded to the 300 block of 17th Street South in Moorhead on a report of shots fired. It was determined, upon officers arrival, that Abdi had been shot ‘numerous times at point blank range’ and was dead at the scene. The statement of probable cause filed in the case said Haji-Mohammed shot a total of 12 times at Abdi, with five of them coming at point blank range.
