(CROOKSTON) — A regional ag innovation campus has closed its doors. The plant, located near Crookston, was ‘a bold idea,’ Governor Tim Walz said in remarks at the Ag Innovation Campus plant last year. Officials broke ground on the project in 2020. There’s no word on the reason for the closure listed in the official statement, although the statement does said the campus “has made an Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors, which will allow secured parties and others to which AIC owes an obligation to recover their funding to the extent possible.”
