Lynx defeat Sun; Punch ticket to WNBA Finals

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Lynx are headed back to the WNBA Finals.

Minnesota beat Connecticut 88-77 in Game Five of the Semifinals from the Target Center on Tuesday night. The Lynx raced out to a 31-18 lead after one quarter, and they led by as many as 24 points during the victory.

Napheesa Collier led the way with 27 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and four blocks. Courtney Williams added 24 points, seven assists, and five rebounds. Kayla McBride chipped in 19 points. Minnesota won the best-of-five series 3-2.

The Lynx take on New York in Game One of the Finals on Thursday.
