(Bowman County, ND) — A grass fire that sprang up yesterday morning in Bowman County is contained. State emergency management officials say they got word of the blaze spotted seven miles north of Scranton around noon. Three area fire departments, as well as a crew from Washington State and a North Dakota National Guard helicopter, responded to the blaze. Cause is under investigation. State officials are advising area residents to avoid the area as crews continue to mop up and ranchers relocate their respective herds.
