Fergus Falls man sentenced in burglary, theft case

(FERGUS FALLS, MINN) – A 30-day jail sentence has been handed down for a Fergus Falls man in connection with a theft conviction in Otter Tail County. The court handed down the sentence Friday. In court documents, Jacob Alley is accused of stealing from Syn Laundry in Fergus Falls. On July 26, 2023, authorities were called to the laundromat for a report of theft and burglary. Officers arrived and found that someone had forced open a coin machine. It was determined that Alley removed the bill canister and an unknown amount of change in the machine.

In addition to the jail sentence, Alley will be required to pay more than $2,000 in restitution.
