Walz Names New Director For State EMS Office

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Governor Tim Walz has appointed Dylan Ferguson to be director of the Office of Emergency Medical Services.

The agency was created during this year’s legislative session to oversee EMT and paramedic certification, give grants to local EMS units and regulate ambulance services and EMT training programs. The board was replaced by the Office of Emergency Medical Services.

Ferguson was most recently the executive director of the Minnesota Emergency Services Regulatory Board.  Ferguson will start his new job on January 1st.
