Man arrested after Grand Forks stabbing & stolen vehicle chase

WALSH COUNTY, N.D. – A man is arrested after a stabbing and a chase of a stolen vehicle from Grand Forks.

Police responded to an apartment building on the 400 block of Division Avenue finding a 37-year-old man with stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital.

A witness says two men were arguing and one man stabbed another.

Meanwhile, officers were investigating a stolen truck owned by NorthStar Safety from West Fargo. Using GPS from the vehicle, Grand Forks County Deputies found the truck and tried to start a traffic stop.

North Dakota Highway Patrol Troopers used stop sticks deflating one of the vehicle’s tires, but it kept going. As the truck went into Walsh County, deputies used stop sticks at Highway 18 and 65th Street deflating the vehicle’s front tires. The truck eventually crashed at the intersection of Highways 18 and 17, stopped in a field and got stuck.

Forty-four-year-old Moses Ayom was arrested for vehicle theft, fleeing, reckless endangerment and reckless driving.

An investigation into the stabbing is ongoing.
