Grand Forks stabbing suspect faces attempted murder charge after alleged event at homeless shelter

GRAND FORKS, ND — A Grand Forks man is facing several charges, including attempted murder, for allegedly stabbing a man last Friday at a homeless shelter.

Police say Moses Ayom fled the scene in a pickup after he stabbed the man multiple times with a pocket knife. Four law enforcement agencies chased Ayom through two counties before he was caught. The victim has life-threatening injuries.

Ayom faces 20 years in prison if he’s convicted.
