GRAND FORKS, ND — Annexed residents in Grand Forks won’t have to pay special assessments for sewer and water improvements, thanks to a loan from the state.
The loan is worth nearly $7-million dollars and will be used for improvements in the annexed areas in the north side of Grand Forks. The city has five phases planned for sewer expansion that will eliminate the need for septic systems. The first two phases have begun construction and have a 2025 completion target date.
The entire project is expected to be completed sometime in 2029.
