FARGO, N.D. – A man is arrested in a stolen vehicle after a chase through a yard in Fargo.
On Tuesday the Highway Patrol says they found a vehicle that fled from troopers last week parked on May Lane in North Fargo. Troopers found a man sleeping in the passenger seat. He woke up and drove away. Troopers tried to box the vehicle in and later tried to perform a PIT maneuver when the vehicle was in reverse, but were unsuccessful. The vehicle turned around and troopers stopped the chase as it went into a residential neighborhood cutting through a yard and nearly hitting a person.
The Highway Patrol says 10 to 15 minutes later the vehicle was seen entering a parking lot of an apartment complex on the 800 block of 7th Avenue North. Police took the man into custody as he was walking from the vehicle.
Twenty-nine-year-old Robert Peightal had three warrants out for him from Cass County. He was arrested on suspicion of reckless endangerment, fleeing, possession of a stolen vehicle, meth and drug paraphernalia possession, driving under suspension and possession of a reproduced license.
