Cramer joins Connecticut Senator in introducing legislation aimed at improving vision care, protecting consumer choice

(BISMARCK, ND) – North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer is joining a Democratic Senator from Connecticut in introducing legislation aimed at improving vision care quality and protecting consumer choice.

The legislation is called the Vision Lab Choice Act of 2024 and it allows clinicians to use the medical labs of their choosing and lower costs for both patients and doctors. The legislation would also amend a portion of the Public Health Service Act, allowing optometrists to choose the best labs and suppliers for their practice, ensuring patients receive high-quality, personalized vision care.

Cramer is joined in introducing the legislation by his Democratic counterpart in Connecticut, Chris Murphy.
