(WEST FARGO, ND) – The West Fargo School Board is set to act on a request for a special election at its regular meeting tonight.
According to documentation in the district’s board agenda packet, the special election would be held for the purpose of a bond referendum question, to include all 13 projects discussed in the latest round of conversations surrounding the future projects.
The projects would be, if passed by the school board as, broken down into three questions – question one would be a $99.7 million dollar question on immediate needs for the next one to five years. The second question would deal with needs in years six through 10, at a cost of $58 million. The third question would be for a five-million-dollar contribution to the Veterans Memorial Arena expansion project.
The election is proposed to be held Monday, February 17 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a total of 14 polling places open.
