Mexican Village to close permanently at year’s end

(FARGO, ND) – A popular Mexican restaurant in Fargo is closing its doors.

“Effective Dec.31, 2024, Mexican Village will sadly be closing our doors. It has been a pleasure serving our customers, who became friends and family over the years, but it is time to say our goodbyes,” a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page read.

The restaurant has been a staple in the Fargo-Moorhead community for more than 50 years. Its current location is at 3155 45th Street South.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support the Fargo/Moorhead area has shown, not only the 45th store, but the Downtown location as well. We want to assure you that this decision was not taken lightly. We treasure the shared experiences with you and appreciate your patronage greatly,” the restaurant wrote.

The restaurant previously had a second location at 814 Main Avenue, but it closed on February 1 of last year.

The property is for sale.
