(Bismarck, ND) — Just under 800 thousand people call North Dakota home.
This according to state officials, who say North Dakota’s population stands at a record 796-thousand-568 people as of July 1st, 2024, marking the largest year-to-year increase since 2020. Cass County — home to Fargo — remains the state’s most populous county, with just under 201-thousand residents. Meanwhile, folks continue to flock to Burleigh County, with a residential population slightly over 103-thousand. North Dakota has been one of the nation’s fastest-growing states since 2010, having seen its population increase by more than 18 percent since 2010.
