(FARGO, ND) – The CEO of Petro Serve USA is lauding a recent addition to the continuing resolution when it comes to E-15.
The continuing resolution calls for year-round sales of E-15, a gasoline with a higher ethanol blend. Prior to the addition, several gas stations had been left with only using E-15 in certain times of the year.
“It really doesn’t work for a gas station to have four hoses, and one of them is E-15. And then, for half of the year, you have to put a bag on it,” Petro Serve USA CEO Kent Satrang told The Flag’s What’s On Your Mind. “Retailers aren’t just going to do that.”
He said he’s hopeful E-15 will stay in the bill.
“I think it will, because it doesn’t have a fiscal note, meaning it has zero cost to the federal budget,” Satrang said.
He said the fuel was seasonal due to Reid vapor pressure, which is a measure of the volatility of gasoline and other petroleum products.
