Minnesota legislators committee assignments announced

(ST PAUL, MINN) – Minnesota legislators now know their committee assignments for the upcoming legislative session.

DFL State Rep. Heather Keeler of Moorhead will serve on the House Human Service Finance and Policy Committee as its co-vice chair, the Education Policy Committee and the Health Finance and Policy Committee. Republican State Rep. Jim Joy of Hawley will serve as co-chair of the Tax Committee, and will serve on the State Government Finance and Policy and Finance and Policy Committees.

On the Senate side, Minority Leader State Sen. Mark Johnson of East Grand Forks will serve as the Ranking Minority Member of the Rules and Administration Committee, DFL State Sen. Rob Kupec of Moorhead will serve the Higher Education Committee, along with three other assignments – Agriculture, Broadband and Rural Development Committee, Health and Human Services Committee and the Labor Committee. Republican State Sen. Jordan Rasmusson of Fergus Falls will serve on the Capital Investment, Commerce and Consumer Protection and Human Services Committees.
