Grand Forks woman sentenced on conspiracy to commit controlled substance crime charge

POLK COUNTY, Minn –  A Grand Forks woman has been sentenced to more than six years in prison on charges of conspiracy to commit controlled substance crime in the first degree.

Crystal Lea King appeared in District Court for sentencing.

From on or about March 1, 2023, until on or about May 15 of the same year, King conspired to commit a controlled substance crime. She possessed at least 17 grams of methamphetamine.

On June 8, 2023, a confidential informant told officers that methamphetamine could be purchased. The informant then met with King in Grand Forks, where the controlled buy took place. The suspected methamphetamine weighed approximately three-point-seven grams.

King has credit for six days served.
