UND President Armacost, ASU President Michael Crow meet

(TEMPE, AZ) – While the main attraction for University of North Dakota supporters this weekend is on the ice at Mullett Arena watching the university’s men’s hockey team play, President Andy Armacost is also taking time to meet with the leader of Arizona State University.

On Friday, Armacost met with Arizona State President Michael Crow. He’s a highly regarded educator, knowledge enterprise architect, science and technology policy scholar, and higher education leader who has served as President of Arizona State since 2002. The forum included nearly 80 people.

“He’s known for his work on what’s called New American University,” Armacost said.

Crow shared his insight on bringing the University to prominence during his 20-plus years at the helm.

Though Arizona State has more students, Armacost said there are some similarities.

“There are a number of key touchpoints that we’ll see great similarity between the efforts that we’re doing at UND, the innovative things our faculty and staff are doing, and what we’re seeing at ASU,” he said.
