(Honolulu, HI) — Nick Taylor is celebrating his fifth career Tour victory after winning the Sony Open in Hawaii.
Taylor took down Nico Echavarria in a two-hole playoff after both finished atop the leaderboard at 16 under par. This is the third consecutive victory for Taylor in a playoff. Stephan Jaeger and JJ Spaun finished tied for third at 15 under. Eric Cole was fifth after finishing 14 under par. Following last week’s win at The Sentry, Hideki Matsuyama finished tied with several players for 16th at 11 under par.
Tom Hoge finished tied for 45th at seven under par. He took home just over $24,000 in prize money.
The Tour will head to California for The American Express this upcoming weekend.
