Man seriously injured when Ford Ranger leaves road, collides with tree row

(RAMSEY COUNTY, ND) – An 86-year-old male suffered serious injuries when his 2002 Forde Ranger left the roadway along U.S. Highway 2 between Devils Lake and Lakota.

The Highway Patrol says the man was westbound en route from Lakota to Devils Lake, when the vehicle entered the ditch, continued into a tree row where it struck several trees prior to coming to rest within the tree row.

The driver was the lone occupant and was transported to CHI St. Alexius in Devils Lake before being airlifted to Altru in Grand Forks.

The crash remains under investigation.
