Cramer, Hoeven urge Trump administration to retain Carlson as U.S. Marshall for District of North Dakota

(WASHINGTON, DC) – North Dakota’s two sitting U.S. Senators are calling on President Donald Trump’s administration to retain Dallas Carlson as the state’s U.S. Marshal.

Carlson has led as the U.S. Marshal for North Dakota since October 2018 and has decades of law enforcement experience in the state, including time with the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, Devils Lake Police Department and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation (NDBCI). Carlson was the leader of NDBCI for a period of time.

The Senators say Carlson’s ‘extensive experience, exemplary record and unwavering commitment to public service’ make him ‘the ideal candidate’ to continue leading the state.

Trump appointed Carlson to the position in 2018.
