(NATIONAL HARBOR, MD) – The Democratic National Committee has a new chairman.
Ken Martin, longtime Democratic leader in Minnesota, had been the front-runner for the race and was elected as chairman Saturday at their winter meeting in National Harbor, MD.
Martin is in his seventh term as Chariman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, holding the post since 2011, the longest serving Chairnan in the party’s 75-year history.
He was previously selected as President of the Association of State Democratic Chairs in 2017.
