Wolves fall to struggling Wizards on Saturday night

(Minneapolis, MN) — The short-handed Minnesota Timberwolves couldn’t find a way to bring down the worst team in the NBA during a 105-103 loss at the Target Center on Saturday.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker missed a game-winning three at the buzzer in a game that did not feature Anthony Edwards or Julius Randle. Jaden McDaniels scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the losing effort. Rudy Gobert added 16 points and 16 rebounds while Mike Conley also chipped in 16 points.

Minnesota is in seventh place in the Western Conference at 27-22. The Wolves host the Kings on Monday at 7 p.m.
