(New Orleans, LA) — Jared Allen is finally a Hall of Famer. The former Vikings defensive end was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Thursday. Allen spent six seasons with the Vikings from 2008 until 2013, recording at least 11 sacks each year. Allen’s best season was in 2011 when he led the league with 22 sacks.
Allen tallied 85.5 of his 136 career sacks in the purple and gold. He also had 6 interceptions (4 with MIN) and forced 31 fumbles (16 in MIN).
Allen will join Eric Allen, Sterling Sharpe, and Antonio Gates in Canton this August.
