(MOORHEAD, MINN) – Police converged on north Moorhead on a report that someone had possibly committed a crime.
Moorhead Police Captain Deric Swenson said police received a call that a male had said he ‘possibly committed a homicide on multiple people.’ Police responded and set a perimeter and attempted contact. They then were ready to activate the SWAT team and send a community alert when it was determined that the situation did not happen. Police determined the situation was mental health related.
Swenson said it was a random act, and police will be looking further into the situation to determine what type of services can be provided.
