(VALLEY CITY, ND) – Valley City Police are notifying the public of a scam.
The scam consists of a individual receiving a package in the mail containing a random item of little value. Also in the package is a paper with a QR code. If the code is scanned by the recipients phone it allows access to the phone and the users personal information. If anyone believes they or someone they know has been victim of a scam, please contact the Valley City Police Department at 701-845-3110.
