(BISMARCK, ND) – A Bismarck man has pled guilty to three felony charges in connection with an incident that preceded the death of a Mercer County Deputy.
It happened in December 2023. Ian Cramer had been transported to Sanford Hospital’s emergency room in Bismarck for mental health issues when he allegedly backed his mother’s vehicle through a hospital ambulance bay door and drove away. It was later that he crashed into – and killed – Deputy Paul Martin.
On March 4, 2024, Cramer pled not guilty.
He has amended those pleas and will be sentenced in March.
